How Do Moving Containers Work for an Arlington Move?
MODS delivers a container to your Arlington driveway, you pack it over days or weeks, and our driver moves it to your new home. No rental truck, no one-day deadline, and no unloading into a storage unit halfway through.
- Book by calling (817) 847-6637 or using the contact page.
- We deliver and place the container flat with the level lift system.
- You pack with your own lock on the doors.
- We move it to your new address or our secure yard.
- You unload and we pick up the empty container.
Arlington had 394,266 residents in the 2020 Census according to U.S. Census Bureau QuickFacts for Arlington. Sitting between Dallas and Fort Worth, it is a common starting point for moves in every direction. For storage without a move, see our Arlington portable and on-site storage page.
Where Can MODS Move My Container From Arlington?
| Route | Common Reason | Helpful Page |
| Arlington to Mansfield, Grand Prairie, or the mid-cities | Upsizing, new builds, school districts | Dallas-Fort Worth hub |
| Arlington to Fort Worth | Job changes, downsizing | Moving containers in Fort Worth |
| Arlington to the Dallas side of the metro | Commute and job changes | Dallas portable storage |
| Arlington to Oklahoma City | Job relocations, family | Fort Worth to OKC move guide |
| Arlington to Amarillo | Panhandle jobs, family | Amarillo location |
Because MODS operates its own yards in Fort Worth, Amarillo, and Oklahoma City, those routes stay inside one company from pickup to delivery.
How Should I Plan an Arlington Move Around Local Traffic?
Avoid scheduling delivery or pickup near the Entertainment District on major stadium event days, and give UTA move-in and move-out weeks extra lead time. Arlington hosts large events that tighten traffic around I-30, SH 360, and Collins Street.
- Event days: check the stadium calendars before picking delivery and pickup dates if you live in north or central Arlington.
- UTA calendar: mid-May and mid-August bring heavy apartment turnover near campus.
- Month-end: apartment and closing dates cluster at the end of each month.
- Summer: school-year moves peak from late May through early August.

What Does an Arlington Moving Timeline Look Like?
Plan about four weeks out for a family move and two weeks out for an apartment move. A container spreads the work across several weeks instead of one exhausting weekend.
| When | What to Do |
| Four weeks out | Book your container, confirm HOA or apartment rules, and start sorting and donating |
| Three weeks out | Gather boxes and supplies, and pack rooms you use least, like guest rooms and the garage |
| Two weeks out | Container arrives; load boxed rooms and large furniture you can live without |
| Final week | Pack the kitchen and bedrooms, strap each section, and keep an essentials box aside |
| Moving day | Call for pickup; MODS drives the container to your new home or our yard |
| After the move | Unload at your pace, then call for pickup of the empty container |
Moving with kids? Pack a separate bin for each child’s first-night items and keep it in the car. Students near UTA can share one 8 foot container among roommates and split the loading days. Read how to pack storage containers and decluttering before a house move.

What Affects the Cost of an Arlington Moving Container?
Container size and count, how long you keep it, distance between addresses, and any yard storage in between. MODS quotes are flat and include pickup with no fuel surcharges.
- Size and count: an 8 foot apartment move costs less than two 16 foot containers for a large home.
- Time on site and in storage: billed monthly for as long as you keep the container.
- Distance: a move within Tarrant County is quoted differently from a move to Oklahoma City or Amarillo.
- Storage between homes: yard storage while you wait on a closing is added only if you need it.

How Do I Load a Moving Container Safely?
- Heaviest items against the front wall: appliances, dressers, bookcases.
- Stack boxes floor to ceiling with heavy boxes on the bottom.
- Strap each section to the tie-down points.
- Fill gaps with cushions and bagged linens.
- Keep an essentials box with you, not in the container.

What Should I Check Before Delivery in Arlington?
- Driveway space and slope: tell us about steep, narrow, or shared drives.
- Clearance: trees and power lines above the spot.
- HOA or apartment rules: get approval and check day limits.
- Street placement: contact the City of Arlington before placing anything in the right of way.
Many south Arlington subdivisions have HOA covenants on container placement, while older north and central neighborhoods often have mature trees over the driveway. Mention either on your quote call so the driver can plan placement.

Reviews
I decided to replace all of the flooring in my house, so we had to completely move out of our house for two weeks. MODS delivered a unit to my driveway and we stored our furniture and other items there until the project was complete. Lisa was so friendly and helpful when I requested the unit. It was delivered on time and with no problems. The unit was clean and in very good condition structurally (no leaks or damage, etc.). The entire process could not have been easier. The best part was that I paid about half of what I had been quoted by other storage companies. I would 100% recommend MODS and would use them again if the need arose.
Great Service, great price. Highly recommended!
They were great with communication and great service.
The first truck driver ripped up our flagstone when moving the truck. I received a phone call from the office stating they couldn't place where one of my two containers was. I was charged for wrong fees on 2 separate invoices. The second truck driver accused me of damaging the container when it was delivered to us with a hole (damaging our contents inside) and then rudely drove off without speaking. I'll probably pay the extra few dollars and go with PODS next time rather than MODS.
